Webinar “Assessing E-Assessments – Experiences from within the Coimbra Group”

28 April 2021

14h00 – 15h30 CEST

Switching to online teaching/learning in response to the Covid-19 crisis was a challenge for HE in Europe. For many universities, transitioning to e-assessment and digital examination turned out to be one of the most complex aspects of this rapid change. In this webinar we will highlight some of the questions raised through this process (written or oral exams, proctored or non-proctored, multiple-choice or open book, equity issues etc.), but the main focus will be on the pedagogical foundation for (e-)assessment. Could the Covid crisis be a catalyst for a permanent change in our assessment practices? Against this background, the panel will discuss some individual experiences and discuss the future of assessment in a post-Covid world.

This webinar is the first of a new series of online-events looking at “Digitalization after Vaccination in HE”.  What’s the sustainable part of the “digital turn” imposed to teaching and learning by the pandemic? What do we want to keep digital and why? The event is open to all staff members at Coimbra Group universities. Stay tuned for upcoming events !
