The official website for the event:    https://coimbra2021.cuni.cz/CG21-7.html

The Executive Board and the Rector of Charles University in Prague, our hosts this year, had to take the regrettable but unavoidable decision to switch to a fully online event this year again. All meetings traditionally scheduled during the Annual Meeting of the Coimbra Group shall be nevertheless maintained and therefore the event schedule has been extended throughout the month of June 2021. All information, final programme and registration links will soon be available in a dedicated website.

Public Workshop – Open event
Safe and sound – Tools for Safety, Security and wellbeing of international mobile participants

The issue of safety and response to emergency situations is particularly important for HEIs because they move thousands of students, teachers and administrative staff all around the world. In particular during the pandemic of Covid19, despite a decrease in the number of mobility that took place worldwide, the health factor has become even more urgent.
The HEIs involved in the UniSafe project are developing four Intellectual Outputs in order to create, share and disseminate a new approach aimed at making the period abroad safer. The first part of the presentation will focus on a brief overview of the project and the presentation of the 4 IOs by each leader and, in particular:

  • standard protocols, procedures and good practices for HEIs to deal with safety issues
  • the online training course for HEI staff on safety and security issues
  • the online training course for mobile participants on safety and security issues
  • some useful tools to deal with safety and security issues to HEIs staff and students association

Afterwards, the audience will be asked to complete the “Self-assessment tool on Safety and security for students and staff during their mobility period” that represents the core of the IO1, through which the HEIs can make data-informed decisions and compare performance across time to determine progress in achieving objectives.
The Unisafe project is co-funded by the European Commission through Erasmus+-Key Action 2 – Strategic partnership in the field of Higher education. All the partner members are part of the Coimbra Group and contribute to the publication of “Guidelines for Coimbra Group Universities on Safety Protocols for Mobility”.
