Employability in the Curriculum

15 April 2021

We are delighted to invite you for the virtual Employability in the Curriculum’ workshop, taking place on Thursday 15th April from 10:30 – 17:30 CEST, hosted by Durham University, in a collaboration between the Education Innovation and Employability Working Groups. Educators and colleagues working in student employability from the universities of UC Louvain, Trinity College Dublin, Edinburgh, Durham and Barcelona will present approaches to including, and recognising, employability in formal modules and in co-curricular activities. The event seeks to explore the topic of ‘Employability in the Curriculum’ – a particularly pertinent topic in the current climate where young people’s employment prospects have been impacted by the effects of the pandemic.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Corbridge and Cllr Katie Corrigan, Mayor of Durham, will participate in a virtual signing of the Poitiers Declaration – a Coimbra Group initiative which signals the importance of universities working hand in hand with their local municipality, and vice versa to support one another’s development.

All members of Coimbra Group universities are welcome to attend the virtual event. You are invited to register in advance in order to receive an updated version of the programme one week prior to the event, along with the Zoom link.
