PROJECT
The Raising Employers' Awareness about the Bologna Process (REABP) is a sixteen-month project, partly funded
by the European Commission, Directorate General for Education and Culture, under the Socrates Programme-Accompanying Measures.
The project started in December 2005 and it came to an end in March 2007.
The project, coordinated by the Coimbra Group, is a joint venture
of 4 European universities: University of Bristol (UK), University of
Padova (IT), University of Poitiers (FR), University of Turku (FI), represented by their Career Services.
The main objective of the project is to raise the awareness of European
employers about the Bologna Process and its implications for the labour
market, particularly of the changes it entails in structures and contents
of degree and study programmes.
The main target groups of the project are employers and career advisors,
however students and political decision-makers at national level can also
be considered beneficiaries of this project.
The expected outcome of the project is the creation of an interactive dialogue based on a win win approach between universities as 'producers' of
highly qualified labour force and employers as ‘clients’ or ‘buyers’ of
these resources.
