The Office of University Outreach and International Programs (UOIP) at the University of California, Davis is pleased to be hosting the next Balance seminar entitled " The European Component of the Internationalization Strategies of North American Universities" on 21-22 May 2009.
For 100 years, UC Davis has engaged in teaching, research and public service that matter to California and transform the world. Located close to Sacramento, the state capital, UC Davis has 31,000 students, an annual research budget that exceeds $500 million, a comprehensive health system and 13 specialized research centers. The university offers interdisciplinary graduate study and more than 100 undergraduate majors in four colleges—Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Letters and Science—and advanced degrees from five professional schools—Education, Law, Management, Medicine, and Veterinary Medicine.
UOIP provides campus leadership and coordination for UC Davis faculty, students and staff to build international relationships via continuing, distance and lifelong learning and international educational and research activities and programs. Our focus is to coordinate, strengthen and promote the internationalization of the University of California, Davis. The campus units reporting to the Vice Provost for Outreach and International Programs include the UC Education Abroad Program, UC Davis Quarter Abroad Program, UC Davis Summer Abroad Program, Fulbright Scholar Programs, Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, International Alumni Relations and Services for International Students and Scholars.
